WAKE UP SIS!!

'Girls'- the more well-mannered, well behaved, sophisticated, respectful child. Boys do sometimes givea tough competition, but usually this is what the parents say.
Then among children this 'girls vs boys' thing is very common. Though who actually grow up, leave behind the kiddish issues.
I witnessed one incident lately which reminded my of such contest but among the grown up kids, and now find myself waking up my team mates!!
Three friends (all girls) were waiting outside an ATM along with 6-7 other people. they were talking of the number of people inside the room, despite of a notice of "ONE PERSON AT A TIME", clearly visible and legible!
When it was the turn of a middle-aged aunty, the boy next to her didnot follow!! :O
The three friends thought - education did some good to the boys after all!
After sometime, the aunty being still inside, another boy started telling him to get inside....to the girls' displeasure.
But actually they found out that he was just lending a helping hand to her, as she faced some problem with withdrawal.

AHEM!! 10 POINTS TO BOYS TEAM!!
It was the girls' turn next!
so? who was gonna come?? someone from the three friends??....who were technically the next!

No! wait!! we got a 'WILD CARD' entry here! --a girl-- a medical student by appearance-- jumped the queue---and took the stage!!
Giving a damn to the queue of people waiting, she rushed towards the guard and asked him if the ATM machine -- which apparently was her personal possession --- was working properly and headed towards the machine! But she had to face an obvious reaction from a team mate-
"you should wait for your turn."
"What? nah! I need to go the medical!!"
as if.....
She rushed to occupy the ATM, an elderly man followed...told her to wait for her turn and not to "interfere the line".
Instead of requesting him;( waiting for her turn was not at all worthy of consideration for her!!!!) she asked him had he developed an interest for arguments in old age! that too with a wicked smile!!!
She asked him to mind his business and let her withdraw the cash. Inside the room by then,were those three friends, the girl, the elderly man, and another woman.?(...u see?? 5 girls: 1 boy )

But the contest took a different route. One of the friends, who were, five minutes ago, not at all in mood of any kinda quarrel; found some real aggressive words coming from her mouth. She didnot realize the anger that grew inside, hearing remarks made by a teammate for an elderly; who was no younger that their fathers.
The next scene had a lot of words like "WHO THE HELL?" "SHUT UP!" "GET OUT"! - both for the elderly and the girl who actually just could not keep her views inside and watch the action like everybody else! (it could be the safe side after all!)
The man just did not give up!! he not only won his turn but also offered the next to the proper next person in the queue who happened to be the three friends. He seemed very upset with the person who could not show even a glimpse of respect for others.

Next scene- ouch! the friends were not able to withdraw any cash even in repeated attempts as their card got stuck!! Had another dose of words from the teammate turned opponent. They had to give up.... their chance to her. Embarrassment however could not match the levels of anger and disappointment from an expected to be an educated girl.

I have no intentions to spread bad words about anybody or any field here..but just a question.... DO WE GIRLS SOMEWHERE IN THE RACE OF MODERNIZATION HAVE BEGUN LOSING THE REAL VALUES-which still shine in our mothers???

WAKE UP SIS!!!.... sun sako agar suno!!

P.S: this line "wake up sis!!" -- has rung inside my mind, many many a times, for many many a reasons but this time; I just could not take it as 'just another side effect' of modernization!
