the story of Steve.

Steve was an Apple...one big, red, juicy , sweet apple.
Everyone liked him in the mixed fruit basket....
he had so many friends there.....
everyone loved something or the other about him...
the banana wanted to be as juicy as him..
the guava was just crazy about his deep red colour....
the orange loved the sweetness...
Steve felt the real super star....admirers..admirers and admirers in the mixed fruit basket...
he loved it there.....
But back at home...in the apple basket...
Steve felt nobody recognized his qualities....everybody treated him like 'everyone else'...
he was no 'somebody' but another "nobody"...
he felt like lost somewhere with other apples...
nobody seemed to find him dat 'special' anyhow!!
Everybody else was also the same apple as him...the same deep red colour...the same sweetness..juice....everything...afterall they all came from the same tree!!

That is why Steve liked to spend most of his time in the mixed fruit basket with his friends who liked almost everything about him and treated him like d star....rather than spending it with other apples of his family..who seemed to find just nothing special about him..they had same qualities steve had.

so? does steve reminds u of somebody?? may be u?? may be u have him in ur own family..or shud i say ur own basket of apples.???.or may be some friend??? whoever may be...what Steve needs to realize is that its not the mixed fruit basket where he belongs to...or just becz everyone admires him there..he will forget where he came from.. he is an apple in the mixed basket bcz HE IS AN APPLE. his qualities actually are his becuz he came from an apple tree.....he shares them with others in his family.... friends are fun to be with..they make us happy..we grow together......important fr us for sure... but family will be family....it is where we come from...we belong...whre our roots were, are and will be.....

nah!! din intend to be preachy... just a thought wanted to share...... try to balance the contents of your basket of life... value everything according to its worth...nothing to be taken for granted...life is just too short!

if u think u get lost somewhere among other apples.....then..hey!! u can try hide n seek.!! howzzat???

    Apple Fable eh!

Sharing my observation, Steve was a unique apple where ever he was, whether in family or in friends, for example in this post, he was the only apple in the the basket of apples who took the time out to go out there into the mixed fruit basket, the only apple who contemplated about the variation in admiration in both the cases.
In fact, he was the only apple that Yashfeen wrote about.

Steve is Unparalled, in his own unique natural journey.

Every apple occupied a unique place in the tree, its own unique angle towards the sun light, each apple flower becoming a fruit in it's own unique time.

The apple has its journey to make, it has seeds in it, and one day the apple is plucked or has to fall, and it has its own unique set of seeds, only the Divine can say in which unique place those seeds will fall, Isaac Newton can add something here.

Every apple and it's seed is meant to leave the apple tree one day, is it not Yashfeen?

And that seed may become into it's own unique tree.

    All in Divine will.

The Divine becomes the unifying reason for how all fruits whether same fruits or different fruits are all of ONE family, since they all have that same ONE Divine taking care of them all, that means all similar apples, pomengranates, rose-apples, custard-apples, jack fruits, dinosaurs, friends, rambos, all family, all enemies, all non-families, all worms, all vermins, all crocodiles, all aliens, all gagas and all googoos all beeeeeloooongs to ONE FAMILY.

And yes Steve reminds me of many.
The story reminds me of two things.
    1. How some people protect their egoes with an identity by surviving on the admiration that is received from friends?
    and
    2. How some other people protect their egoes with an identity by surviving on the similarity-based community/family strength? You know how the apples vote for their applebaba and the guava votes for the guavababa during the elections.

Both cases are fatal illusions! Both cases are dividing in fact damaging to the mother soil! I clearly see it that we got to identify ourselves NOT with family NOR with friends but with the Divine. And to identify with the Divine got to do it THROUGH our family, THROUGH our friends, THROUGH our enemies, all being under the same Divine breath.

Now, when I talk of the Divine, it is irrational, is it not? People will ask Steve for concrete proof for the existence of this so called Divine. And there is no laboratory answer to that.

Divine being ever unfathomable, and we surrender to the moment...to the moment...ever on.

I was happy to see this unique post.
