Botany labs are surely not what i look forward to and doing exercises like making section cutting, pahlease not at all on my list of things i like to do! i am never able to prepare a good slide. May be thats becz i usually have pending zoology work to do that i am unable to give it proper attention.
This lab was no different; only that we had to prepare not one but two slides! My first attempt as usual was not very good rather, it wasn't at all! the second one,i thought however it may be , i wont give it another try! the sweat running down my face, as was from some tap left on! only strengthened my resolution! i made this slide with more efforts and was trying to identify something similar to the permanent one anyhow. but all i could see were several spot of the staining material. here, there, everywhere on the slide! huh! again n again i tried the same slide under the microscope but those spots were even more prominent! finally!! i concluded! found the culprit! it was not my slide but the microscope. it had spots on its lens! and see it kept blaming my slide!!
I eventually studied my slide which was not that bad after all! but learnt something else.
later that day, i complained lesser than everyday about everything. everytime i opened my filthy mouth to point out some flaw in something.......the microscope came in front of me which had spots on its lens and in turn saw them in everything else!!

ReplyDeleteoh dats y wen u came 2 see my slide u almost dipped ur eye in my eyepiece for about 10 min n i was js unable 2 get wat u were doin actually.Only 1 thing was hittin my head n twas d screachin sound f my CLEAN N CLEAR LENS -KAMNA
